New force in GovTech as Deckard Technologies joins with AllTheRooms

We’re excited to announce that Deckard Technologies has ​​acquired short term rental data specialist AllTheRooms so we can deliver even better STR management and tax compliance software for local government teams.  

Established in 2016, AllTheRooms is a data analytics company specializing in aggregating and analyzing global short-term rental (STR) data from platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. Its technology is focused on delivering deep insights into rental activity, occupancy, and market trends for governments, tourism boards, and businesses. 

Rentalscape customers will soon see multiple benefits from the acquisition, including: 

• Better property tax software and data that makes it easier and faster to identify and manage unpaid transient occupancy taxes (TOTs) and other municipal levies.
• Access to in-depth short-term rental data dating back to 2016, providing unique market benchmarks and trend insights that help identify how vacation rental markets.
• Expanded capabilities including customizable, real-time analytics that scale from a single block to an entire county. 

New Patent Portfolio to support short-term rental management software

Real-time data views will help make spreadsheets a thing of the past and stronger AI models will provide deeper, more accurate insights - all backed by the same high standards of service and attention our customers expect.” 

As part of its acquisition of AllTheRooms, Deckard Technologies has secured a portfolio of six US patents that will strengthen its AI-powered property intelligence platform.  

These include patents for technology which accurately deduplicates short-term rental listings across platforms like Airbnb and VRBO, as well as for a machine learning model that distinguishes real bookings from blocked dates to improve enforcement and tax reporting and a method to help identify legitimate rental activity.  

Building GovTech powerhouse 

The acquisition also brings the significant experience and expertise of the AllTheRooms team to Deckard Technologies, including CEO Will Pearson, who joins us as Deckard Technologies’ Director of Operations.

The newly-combined team is already working on unified models that will help accelerate our product development roadmap, and we’ll also be able to lift data quality even further by including significantly more jurisdictions, including international data, filling gaps in existing datasets and allowing the de-duplication of records to increase accuracy and efficiency.    

Meanwhile AllTheRooms’ existing products, which cater to property investors, STR hosts, and enterprises, will continue to be sold under the AllTheRooms brand.

For example, the acquisition will provide key capabilities for the ongoing development of Deckard Technologies’ new platform for long-term rental property tracking software.
